Spain Gandia festival to screen Iranian animations

Cortoons Festival Gandia is to screen 8 Iranian animated movies at the international festival of short animations.

Cortoons Festival Gandia has been scheduled to screen eight Iranian animated movies during the international festival of short animations.

To be launched in the Spanish city on April 27, the festival will screen ‘Nostalgia’ made by Fereydoun Borouji, ‘OBC’ directed by Amin Haqshenas, and ‘Darza’ by Iradj Mohammadi-Rezini.

The Iranian lineup also includes ‘The Switchman’ directed by Mehdi Khorramian, ‘Icky’ by Parastou Kardgar and ‘Inversion’ made by Ario Saffarzadegan.

The event’s website announced that the acclaimed animations ‘From the Eastern Lands’ by Sarah Tabibzadeh and ‘The Servant’ by Farnoush Abedi are among the films as well.

Cortoons Gandia is the International Animated Film Festival of Gandia, organized by Cortoons Festival, the city of Gandia, la Generalitat Valenciana, through the Institut Valenciá de Cultura (Culturarts), and the participation of Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) and the Agéncia Valenciana de Turisme.

After 12 years of great success in Rome, Cortoons international festival of animated films moved to Spain in the beautiful town of Gandia in the province of Valencia.

The 2017 edition of the Cortoons Gandia will come to conclusion on April 30.
